Ruby Congdon has joined GMAC Mortgage as a new loan officer in its Grand Blanc office. Congdon brings 22 years of mortgage experience to GMAC Mortgage and the Genesee County community. Before joining GMAC Mortgage, Congdon was a senior loan originator at Republic Bank in Genesee County, where she was responsible for originating residential conforming purchases and refinances.
Kristy Brown of Flushing has obtained a Certified Public Accountant license and was promoted to senior accountant at the Flint Township office of Yeo & Yeo accounting firm. Brown attended Ferris State University and holds a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting.
Dennis G. Poulos of Fenton was named Agent of the Year in the Michigan general office of the New York Life Insurance Co. A New York Life agent for almost 35 years, Poulos received the award in recognition of his outstanding sales achievement, client service and professionalism. He also earned the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living professional designation from the American College, Bryn Mawr, Pa. His office is on Miller Road in Flint Township.
Jerry Cox of Davison, who works for Ann Arbor-based Unibar Maintenance, was awarded the designation of Registered Building Service Manager by the Building Service Contractors Association International. The Registered Building Service Manager program designates people in the building service contracting industry who applied for and met the Building Service Contractors Association International's standards of competence and qualifications.
The Ferris State University Board of Trustees approved the re-appointment of Pauline Pryor to the board of directors at Northridge Academy of Flint during its regular meeting on March 14. Pryor will serve a term through June 30, 2011.
Dr. Kurt Kralovich, a trauma surgeon has joined the staff of the Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Kralovich was a senior trauma surgeon at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, which he joined in 1997. Kralovich earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University's College of Medicine and completed a trauma fellowship and surgical intensive care fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital.
Doris Nurenberg, chief executive officer of the Flint Area Association of Realtors, was appointed as a member of the 2007 Dr. Almon R. "Bud" Smith Leadership Society. She was chosen for the honor by National Association of Realtors executives across the nation. Nurenberg, who is pursuing a master's degree in business from the University of Michigan--Flint, is vice chair for the National Association of Realtors Certified Executive Certification Board and a member of the National Association of Realtors Association's Executive Institute Board of Governors.
Jerry L. Anderson, formerly of Clio, was promoted to chief of security at 1132 Bishop St. in Honolulu. The building is home to the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and several Pacific Rim investment firms. Anderson, a 1966 Clio High School graduate, retired from General Motors in 1996 and moved to Hawaii in 1999.
